About Us

Scripture Union is a movement of volunteers from a wide variety of churches who are committed to working with children, young people and families.

Programs give participants positive experiences and help them learn and grow together. Within each of the programs people have the opportunity to hear about the Christian faith in a non pressured environment so they can make their own decisions in relation to faith and beliefs.

Scripture Union is a not-for-profit organisation whose major source of income is from individuals and churches who see value in SU ministries.

Who We Are

Sharing Jesus since 1867

Scripture Union is a movement of Christians of all ages and stages committed to sharing Jesus with children, young people and families. We are a community of volunteers, supported by a small number of staff, and active in over 130 countries throughout the world. We are interdenominational, working with the churches to passionately, creatively, and prayerfully share the good news of Jesus.

In the NT, our current ministries include RI in schools, camps, chaplaincy, Kids Games, leadership training, resource development, KCC Kids Program and programs in partnership with Wycliffe Australia and other SU states.

We pray that our movement might be a tool in God’s hand for the outbreak of revival in the Northern Territory in our generation.

Our Aims

Working with the churches, Scripture Union aims:
a. to make God’s good news known to children, young people and families and
b. to encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer so that they may:
• come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ,
• grow in Christian maturity, and
• become both committed church members and servants of a world in need
