The 2023 SU Training Day is aimed at equipping any person who works in any area of Children’s, Youth or RI Ministry in any context.

THIS YEAR’S THEME AND MAIN TEACHING SESSION:
God’s Big Story – Helping youth and children see their place in it.
Do you feel confident you have a good grasp of the “big story” of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation? Do the children and youth you minister to have a good understanding of it? Do they understand that the Bible isn’t just about the past, but that God’s Big Story is still unfolding? The best is yet to come, and they are living within God’s Story, not just looking back on a story of the past.
Many Bible Timeline resources are so complicated and detailed that they’re only of any use when you’re actively looking at them, but what if you could teach a simple outline which your group could “just know”, so that everything you teach fits well into God’s Big Story? In our main session we will explore God’s Big Story and one particular free resource that might help you to know it well, and teach it effectively.

We are excited to be offering the following 9 Workshops in 2023 – you will be able to choose from 3 different workshop sessions.

  • Youth evangelism
  • Teaching the bible to kids
  • Trauma-informed ministry
  • Teaching the OT to youth
  • Supporting Special Needs
  • RI – Big questions in the school context
  • Mentoring senior youth
  • Pastoral conversations with kids
  • Creative resourcing
